Post Festival Reflections
Mykola Dyplyak
Scranton, PA. August 10, 2000
Anna Bachynska and Bohdan Sikora, distinguished artists of Ukraine, performed for the first time at Verkhovyna’s Festival, who, like “Chereshenky” (Oros sisters Duet Group), were provided musical accompaniment by Oksana Lykhovyd on keyboard. They sang both duet and solo sections. Bohdan Sikora performed the Song “Ukraina” (lyrics and music by M. Mozhoviy), “Nalyvaimo Bratya” (lyrics by V. Kryshchenko, music by V. Lisovol), and Anna Bachynska performed two folk songs “Hlyboka Kyrnytstya” and “Sered Sela Dychka”.
…Duet Anna Bachynska and Bohdan Sikora executed their songs very nicely, for example “Ishov Kozak Potaikom,” and their respective solos.
